Lam Echaml is a civil society network, that also includes independent citizens, uniting their efforts in order to create a strong, open and effective movement ready to move forward to build a modern, republican and democratic Tunisia.

Since its creation on April, 29, 2011, Lam Echaml has committed to establishing projects that enhance the capacities of the associations part of its network. Lam Echaml also works to promote citizenship in the different regions of Tunisia through concrete actions, creating awarness among citizens about their rights and making them decisive actors in the city.

It thus became an area of education and training with regards to Human rights, civics and citizenship education. It also emerged to be a place for cultural exchange.

Lam Echaml shares and defends these values:

  • Republican regime
  • Full gender equality
  • Respect for individual rights, public right, the right to be different, and the freedom of conscious
  • The separation between religion and politics
  • Commitment to the cultural heritage and the tunisian civilization
  • The promotion of a culture of non-violence and the protection of the environment
